Alexander Farah is an Afghan-Canadian filmmaker whose work has screened globally at Berlinale, Telluride, and Clermont-Ferrand. His music video “Meet You At The Light” won both the Jury Prize and Audience Choice awards at SXSW in 2022. Alex’s latest project “One Day This Kid,” executive produced by Dan Levy, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2024, and won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Narrative Short Film at SXSW in 2025. It is currently streaming on the Criterion Channel.
Alex has two Kinsale Shark awards and one Cannes YDA award, in addition to being a UKMVA nominee and a Young Guns (’22) award recipient.
